The Child Health Nursing Department is a crucial part of healthcare, providing specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents across wide range of settings. The Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research (INSeR) of Malabar Cancer Centre under the eminent guidance of Prof. Dr Rohini.T (Principal) has a well-established Child Health Nursing Department which effectively manages the curriculum of the students.This specialty address the unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs of young children through promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative approaches. Our dedicated faculty members are passionate about guiding students to develop into skilled, confident, and compassionate pediatric nurses. A fully equipped laboratory featuring models, mannequins, instruments, and audio-visual aids enriches the teaching and learning experience. We cultivate a supportive environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.

Class & training programs & Clinical Facilities
Various teaching-learning methods including lectures, role-plays, demonstrations, seminars and field trips are employed for the educational process. The evaluation of the total curriculum is based on both summative and formative assessment. Two sessional examinations are conducted in each semester and students will be given performance appraisal after each clinical posting.
Students are given an opportunity to integrate theory with practice through various clinical postings specific to pediatric nursing. Postings are arranged in the following hospitals:
