Common symptoms and signs of cancer are:
1. Lump or swelling
2. A sore that doesn’t heal
3. Recent change in a wart/mole
4. Unusual bleeding or discharge from any site
5. Changes in bladder or bowel habits
6. Nagging cough or hoarseness
7. Difficulty in swallowing or dyspepsia
These symptoms may not always represent cancer. They may be seen in other diseases as well. If you have any of these symptoms, it means that you have to consult a doctor and undergo further tests if needed as suggested by your doctor.
Cancer diagnosis:
The diagnostic tests depend on your symptoms, the organ involved etc. Even simple tests like X rays, ultra sound scans, CT scans, endoscopy can diagnose cancer. Confirmation is through histopathology by undergoing FNAC or biopsy.
